Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Peru - Q2 2023

The second quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Peru. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a solid presence throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 16K in the first and last weeks of June. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from approximately 505K at the beginning of April to 532K by the end of that month, before stabilizing around 510K towards the end of June.

Google Earth experienced steady download numbers, with a high of 7.1K in the last week of June. Active users also saw a consistent trend, starting at around 53K at the end of March and gradually increasing to approximately 56K by the end of June.

Radar Map, Radar Detector, HUD showed notable growth in active users, jumping from about 6.3K at the end of March to over 15.6K by the end of June. Downloads mirrored this trend, peaking at around 5.7K in mid-June.

Maps All in One, Speedometer displayed a varied performance. Downloads reached a high of 4.6K in mid-May but dropped to around 2.9K by the end of June. Active users also showed a fluctuating pattern, peaking at nearly 3.9K in mid-May and then stabilizing around 3K towards the end of June. Revenue peaked at approximately $68 in late April but generally remained low throughout the quarter.

GPS Navigation - Route Planner had a similar trajectory in downloads, hitting a high of around 4K in late April and then dropping to approximately 2.6K by the end of June. Active users started at around 5.3K at the end of March, peaking at 6.1K in late April, and then declining to about 4.5K by the end of June.
